11 hackathons since starting university. Although the code quality in those 24-48 hour sprints was consistently questionable, I've really enjoyed collaborating with lots of talented people, building fast, and learning how to deliver a pitch that keeps audiences awake.

Honourable Mention (Runner Up)

Created (mostly vibe-coded) an asteroid simulator that allows you to visualize the orbits and impacts of real asteroids, all in one place. The asteroids were pulled from NASA's NEO and SBDB APIs, and it was built on top of an existing open-source 3D model of the Earth.

Prototyped a hybrid Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) game combining elements of 'Red Light–Green Light' and 'Crossy Roads', where the idea was to have two players control movement using EEG brainwave signals + keyboard input. Although the full integration wasn’t successful, it was a fun learning experience in real-time EEG acquisition, and working with BCI boards.
